Have you been looking for a place to take your ministry broadcast LIVE?

Have you been overwhelmed by the high cost of LIVE broadcasting?

Have you tried traditional AM or FM radio?

(Have you seen the prices they charge for your broadcasts)?

Have you all but given up on broadcasting LIVE to your audience, either locally or around the world?

WELL - worry no more!  EVANGELISM RADIO has been designed JUST FOR YOU!

Evangelism Radio has been developed to have complete 24 hours /  7 days per week LIVE Broadcast capability.  We understand this will not happen overnight.  So we have made the technical adjustments necessary to be able to play “pre-recorded” ministry broadcasts in addition to having broadcasters “go live.”

Each broadcaster is provided a “block of air time.”  Just as traditional radio stations will assign a broadcaster a specific block of time on their radio station, you will be given this same privilege on Evangelism Radio.

In addition, we must also make time available for “hard breaks” (commercials).

Some traditional radio stations take several breaks during the broadcast half hour...or keep all their breaks until the end of the program.

The latter choice is the option we have built into this station.  Commercials will run at the “bottom” of the hour - and will run for 2-3  minutes.  Promotional announcements will be pre-loaded (sometimes specific commercials or they could be on a rotational basis) into the end of playlist.

We also have a network news affiliate that will provide a headline news brief for our listeners. This can be as short as 30 seconds or up to 3 minutes in length. The actual length of the news briefing is dependent on the time availability in the playlist for that particular program and that particular day.

Since we do allow time for promotional considerations and the news (just as in traditional radio), a 30 minute broadcast is actually ONLY 26 to 28 minutes.  A 60 minute broadcast will be limited to 55 to 56 minutes in length.

This will provide the “next” broadcaster (LIVE or Pre-Recorded) time to “log in” and go “LIVE” on the station server (or allow their pre-recorded program to start on time).

Each LIVE broadcast will be provided access via username and password to our station servers.  The servers have been programmed to ONLY allow access to the broadcaster ONLY during the scheduled time slot allocated for that particular program.

EXAMPLE:  Broadcaster “A” is scheduled from 7pm to 7:30pm.  In actuality, Broadcaster “A’s” broadcast is only going to run from 7:00pm until 7:30pm.

Broadcaster “A” WILL BE ALLOWED access beginning at 7:00pm.  Once logged into the server, Broadcaster “A” will be ready to click “Broadcast Now” and go LIVE.  At 7:30pm, Broadcaster "A" will either log off the server manually, or the server will automatically shut down the Live Broadcast.

If Broadcaster "A" fails to log off (either forgetting to do so or getting "long winded"), at exactly 7:30pm - if Broadcaster “A” is still in LIVE broadcast mode - the server will take him OFF the Live Broadcast and begin running the next scheduled program.

If Broadcaster “B” is prepared to go LIVE at 7:30pm, they will see the GREEN "GO LIVE" button illuminate on their desktop.

This accomplishes two things:

1. Prohibits anyone from going LIVE too soon.

2.Prohibits anyone from talking too long and running over into someone else’s program.

If either Broadcaster “A” or Broadcaster “B” fail to log into the server and go LIVE at their scheduled time, our servers will automatically upload a “pre-recorded” broadcast from the appropriate broadcaster.  This “pre-recorded” file will play during the prescribed time for the appropriate broadcaster.  Any listeners tuning in will still hear a program from the scheduled broadcaster during the appropriate time block.

There are some minor expenses which the broadcaster (you) will be responsible for prior to your first broadcast.  Depending on whether you are using a Mac or a PC, there  is some software you will need to purchase and download (install) on your computer prior to being able to successfully access our servers for your first broadcast.

For Mac users - you will need “NiceCast” to be installed on your computer.  You will also need "Audio Hijack Pro" for NiceCast.

For PC users - you will need “ShoutCast” to be installed as well as WinAmp.  Depending on your particular PC, you may need "Virtual Audio Cables" and possibly a USB Sound card. (Again, depending on how new your computer is, you may not need all of these items).

We are not selling this software.  We have searched tirelessly and tested various broadcast software...and these have been the absolute best and easiest to use, as well as being very reasonable in price.  You should be able to purchase either one for a reasonable price (and since YOU purchased it - it belongs to you for life!  You can use it on other broadcast stations as you may have opportunity).

We will try to help you with “Step-by-Step” instructions depending on which version of software you are going to use.

WE CANNOT GUARANTEE YOUR COMPUTER / SOFTWARE WILL ALLOW YOU TO CONDUCT LIVE BROADCASTS.

You will need to have a microphone (a good, quality microphone will provide for a good, quality broadcast).  You will also need to have a good, high speed internet connection as well (telephone modem may not be fast enough for LIVE broadcast capability).

IN SUMMARY:

In addition to your computer (of course) - YOU WILL NEED:

1.Good microphone

2.Good internet connection

3. Either “NiceCast” or “ShoutCast and Winamp” downloaded and installed on your computer prior to your first broadcast attempt.

4.A completed application with our station and ministry (the application is not a "locked in" contract - you are free to cancel at anytime.  This contract is a simple information form which discusses the length of your broadcast; broadcast content and copyright issues if you play music).

5.Have received and responded to our email for your username and password

6.Establish your computer setup via our detailed step-by-step instructions for LIVE Broadcasts (it’s not really that long...about 5 steps)

7. AND THEN BROADCAST IN YOUR TIME SLOT!

We will try assist you (remotely) in setting up your software if you are having any troubles. We could conduct a Skype or Zoom call to see if we can help.

Many have found it easier to use a knowledgeable person on their end to assist in the initial set up. If you decide to do so, any expense for that is entirely your responsibility (not ours).

Most people will not need this service - it REALLY is not that hard to do!
